Cowboys TE Rico Gathers suspended for Week 1

Months before the season starts, we all know.
Cowboys tight end Rico Gathers was suspended without pay for its match of their regular season for violating the NFL’s policy and application on materials of misuse, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The suspension was later affirmed by the group.
The violation came as a consequence of his 2018 arrest for misdemeanor marijuana possession.
Gathers can take part in the offseason and preseason games and practices of the team. He could go back to the active roster on Monday, Sept. 9 after the season opener.
Since being drafted by Dallas in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft gathers, 25, has fought. He has just three career grabs in 15 games.
